Beautifully Organized: Allure Beauty Box Review June 2020

Welcome back to the blog,

Life is good and well is well! With the second half of the year upon us, it's always a good idea to have new and fresh things to work on. As a consultant, I absolutely love the projects that I'm working on behind the scenes. They help to keep my science and engineering mind ticking. Always have a career or life goal that keeps you motivated and driven. It will be one of those things that will keep you thrilled and looking forward to each day. With a purpose, every day is worthwhile. On this channel, we endorse education and entrepreneurship, so always keep working towards a goal that will keep you stretching and growing. With persistence and focus, you will achieve. It is perfectly live a happy and organized life.

Having systems for everything is just something that allows me to live more intentionally. On Instagram, over the past few weeks, I've been going through my make up, and actually de-cluttering the make up items that I have in my collection. Once you de-clutter, you'll make space for the new new. Here is what I've managed to accommodate into my beauty routine. I've upgraded my beauty routine, to include a monthly beauty subscription box with Allure. I spent months researching various beauty boxes, and just found that this one was in tune with my preferences. I've decided to go ahead and share these items with you all. For further details, feel free to check out the Allure website.

Signing up in June 2020, my first beauty box was actually shipped on the 1st of July 2020. I am in Jamaica, and utilized a courier to have the package brought to me. My courier is MyCartExpress. Creating an account with MyCartExpress is quick and easy, and they actually do deliver to your home.

As a person who thrives on order and organization, I went through the total collection of items that I received, and actually organized them into two piles: To Use and To Store. I'm sure I'm not the only person who loves collecting make up, and there are some items that you might find on clearance, or even a full price that you find in store, purchase and hold in your make up inventory for personal use at a future time. I have two sets of make up and just ensure that I'm utilizing the items in a timely manner, so that there is no spoilage.

1) Yensa Super Lip Oil In Pink Shine

This is the first product that I gravitated to in the package. During my beauty de-clutter, I took the time to actually discard lip glosses that were open for more than four months. With my baseline glosses from Milani, I found that for about a week, I was pretty much utilizing moisturizers that were tinted. I didn't have any baseline moisturizer that I could utilize as a baseline for lipsticks, or wear as part of my evening routine.

For the month of July, I've thoroughly been enjoying the utilization of Yensa's Lip Oil. I literally opened my beauty box in my zeal, and started using it on day one. First of all, the package is really luxurious, and has a sophisticated Black and Rose Gold packaging. When you open the box, the tube itself is absolutely gorgeous. Very rose gold vibes and very bougie. Admittedly, there was a point at which I felt tempted to not use the gloss, and simply had it on my vanity as decor. It's really that pretty. Eventually though, curiosity got the best of me, I started using the gloss and it has a really nice soft watermelon scent. The lip oil is quite moisturizing, and it's now part of my morning and evening routine. Having a baseline for everything that you utilize across the day, is one of the ideal ways to enable yourself to have a self care routine.

The Yensa Super 8 Oil, is loaded with antioxidants and moisturizers, including Vitamin E, coconut, and avocado seed oils. With each wear, you get smoother, softer lips. I'm already noticing a difference in my lips.

2) Belif The True Cream - Aqua Bomb Aloe Vera

The second item that I reached for in my beauty box is the Belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb Aloe Vera. This cream is one of those really luxurious creams where a little, definitely goes a long way. As a light weight foundation for the skin, you can actually wear this as an all day moisturizer, or even utilize it as part of your night time routine.

If you're sensitive to scents, you'll absolutely love this product. With a nice fresh scent, you get a spa like essence as you're rubbing in your moisturizer. The aloe vera in the cream is a healing agent. Ideal for instances where you don't want to wear heavy make up, and you simply want your skin to breathe. This is my current go to for baseline foundation. I let my skin breathe for about five days per week, and this is my moisturizer, whether or not I'm wearing any make up.

3) Dashing Diva Gloss Ultra Shine Gel Palette

This is the third item in my to use pile for the month of July. For those of you familiar with my mini vlogs on Instagram, on Sundays...I do our pamper routine. There's no work done on Sunday, you want to ensure that you give your brain a chance to relax. Sunday, is the day of relaxation. After a long work week, you really need to take the time to take care of your self. During the week, what I love to do is to allow myself half an hour in the mornings to get ready, and in the evening a similar amount of time to actually unwind.

What I often overlook are my nails. For 2020, I am making more of an effort to ensure that my nails are well kept. With the Dashing Diva Gloss Palette, I do believe that I will have about two months worth of Salon level nails, done from the comfort of my own home. In my at home manicure kit, I tend to have the following items:

1) Cotton Pads to clean my nails before I start my nail polish application

2) Nail Clip

3) Nail File

4) Cotton Buds for final touch ups

5) Selection of Nail Polishes (Inclusive of base coat and top coat)

6) Acetone

These gloss strips are fun to utilize. With a variety of designs, they do last a long time once you have applied them. To apply, you start off with clean hands. Utilize alcohol to sanitize and prepare the nails. Once you are finished, match a nail strip to the nail. Apply from your cuticle to the tip of your nails, smooth out the bubbles with your fingertips. Any excess that is left over, you can file away. The kit actually does come with its own nail file, so you are equipped to have a complete look once you start the process. Very fancy, and very affordable.

4) Shangpree Gold Black Pearl Eye Mask

It's never too early to take care of your eyes. These Shangpree Gold Black Eye Masks are the final items in my to use pile. On one of my Sunday masking sessions, I will definitely take the time to utilize these products. Pairing this mask, which is full of a glycerin, black pearl and gold essence base, I will be able to relieve any eye puffiness that may have developed. In one tub, there are 60 patches. If you utilize one mask per day, you will be able to have the pack last you for an entire month.

5) Tony Moly Intense Care Gold 24K Snail Hydrogel Mask

Beauty is in the way you take care of yourself. It's in the things that you tell yourself, it's in the things that you eat, your exercise routine, and your water intake and in your beauty routines. Every Sunday on my routine, I take the time to apply a face mask. I have masks in a variety of forms - tubes with clay masks, and on occasions where I'm relaxing on my balcony on a Sunday, one of the things that I absolutely love to do, is to utilize a sheet mask. I personally find sheet masks very convenient for me to utilize. I feel that they allow you to luxuriate in a multitude of locations without you feeling like you have to do too much. Places that you can mask include:

1) On a long distance air plane ride

If you're on a long haul commute such as New York to London, or enroute to somewhere like Dubai, you may be in the air for up to 8 hours. These flights are designed to enable you to relax and sleep. At the point at which you've already eaten dinner and are relaxing to watch an in flight movie, you can actually take the time to do things like wear a face mask. With conditions in places like air craft actually drying to the skin, you can take the time to ensure that you're restoring the moisture in your skin by applying a sheet mask. In your pouch, will be everything you need. Once you're finished, in some instances, you don't even have to wash off the nutrients you just added to your skin. Just let them soak in.

After your pre-bed routine on your flight, in your seat, you can just apply the mask and then allow it to work its magic.

2) On Vacation

When you are on vacation, you may not have the time to actually do a full beauty routine. However, there are some intermediary things that you can do to ensure that you are keeping up with your beauty routine. Carrying a set of face masks with you while you are on vacation, will actually help to instill in you a discipline that will allow you to achieve your beauty objectives, even when you're on a break.

As part of your evening routine, while you're soaking in your tub, just put on a face mask, and in fifteen to twenty minutes, you'll be able to accomplish the objective of ensuring that you're taking care of your skin.

This Tony Moly Intense Care Mask, is going into my travel bag for use on a long haul flight. Infused with advanced peptides that are beneficial for the skin, the sheet mask is infused with snail mucin. As a cooling and hydrating agent, the active ingredients in the mask actually plump the skin. The mask is a complex mix of peptides, antioxidants, glycosaminoglycans, hyaluronic acid, zinc, copper, iron and manganese. With all of these wonderful ingredients, the treatment will soften lines, calm inflammation, and improve your collagen production. Radiant skin will be yours when you utilize this product. I will keep you posted and let you know when I use this! So excited to try this!!

6) Context Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream

I'm fortunate to not have any under eye bags because I'm still young, but I do understand the value of a good beauty routine in order to ensure that I stay young and healthy. In this month's beauty box, I did receive a Vitamin C and E eye cream.

Vitamin C and E are very good for the skin for a multitude of reasons. They are both antioxidants, that keep the skin nourished and refreshed.

This is going in my to store pile, and I'll utilize it later in the year, probably closer to Christmas when I have a major vacation.

Price: $25.00

I'm excited to receive my monthly packages every month from #AllureBeautyBox. What this will do is actually keep me motivated as I'm working across the months. With new things to try every month, some that I expect, and others that take me by total surprise, I'm really looking forward to just having fun with beauty products. I think beauty is something that every woman learns to appreciate it. It has to come from within.

1) Nail Polish of your choice. Base coat, Nail polish with desired colour, Top Coat

2) Nail Polish Remover: I use the raw acetone since it works like a charm.

3) Cotton Pads and Cotton Buds to Clean up

4) Body Butter

5) Cuticle Oil

As an initial step, simply rub your feet with a thick body butter at night. This will keep your feet nice and soft across the weeks. When I noticed that this step was working, I decided to take it a step further and maintain my pedicures. For a few weeks now, I've been keeping up with the routine and I feel pretty good about the outcome.

After your workouts and shower, you can sit there on your balcony or in your beauty room...and take the half an hour to simply take off the polish from the week before, and then apply the new three coats (two nailpolish, one topcoat)...and then listen to a podcast while the nailpolish is drying.

My intention is to get a new colour every month, and I will keep you updated with what I'm feeling for that particular month. You might as well enjoy your life.

Feel free to tag me on Instagram if you purchased the box!! I'll be doing my usual reviews on the products. My beauty journey is always one that is growing and expanding!

I love you for reading!!
