Wednesday Beauty: That Good Sunshine!!!

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." - 3 John 2 New King James Version (NKJV)

Happy Day!!

I thought it would be a good idea to focus on our beauty from the inside out! My challenge for this week, is to ensure that I update the Blog/Instagram/Youtube pages on the same day. Let's see how this progresses!! At this rate, I really need to wake up earlier!! I hope you all are well!!! Even if you aren't 100% well...I'm sure for five minutes as you read can transcend your current condition and be swept away...even if it's momentary. With the few seconds of'll return to life more mellow!!

With the summer in full swing, one thing that I've been doing is ensuring that I'm sunning myself for half an hour a day. I had taken a financial course of all things, that had told me that I needed to do this. Why? Because prosperity includes health and because as humans, we are part of the natural ecosystem, and if we're trapped indoors with artificial light and air, we often don't receive the good Vitamins and fresh air that keep us healthy. I'm sure we've all felt happier when the sun was out, and felt the gloom when the rain/snow was dominating the seasons. Seasons affect our mood, so for this reason, I've been ensuring that I'm allowing my being to be outdoors as much as possible. If I'm stressed out at my desk, I take a half an hour break, do some deep breathing and then return to face the music.

Over the past few weeks, I had a slight bug (been Vitamin C 2 mg per day for about six days), and since then I've been ensuring that I keep myself and environment as clean as possible. The moment I start feeling a cough...I reach for some mouthwash, and spend as much time as I can outdoors. Warmth and good immunity go hand in I ensure that my space is facilitating me by keeping me incubated and healthy.

I started my sun therapy about a week ago, with the return of my landlady. Listening to a Brendon Burchard video on allowing yourself to level up around seemingly negative people who have nothing better to do than thrive off your good energy. I promised myself, that I have no need to impress an 80 year old woman of all things! Lol. It's not like she's bae! Why should her opinion matter in my young life? In any case...I pray before sleep (yes mirror work), and I have been taking the steps to ensure that my mood and health stays at peak. Inner everything leads to the outer effect. Since I spent the summer in a state of bliss, I want to be in a position where I can sustain that positive energy regards of who's around me. I need to stay sane for my future hubby and children!!

My adventures with the sun have reached an ideal peak. I'm sure those of you who were present when I started the process of my staycations will remember how I was so sun happy, I spent about six hours out in the sun at home on the first staycation. A week later I was looking like a barbecue potato chip, and resorted to slathering myself with healing lotions for two weeks and wearing long sleeved shirts. Learning that lesson, I'm currently respecting the sun skin care therapy from all perspectives.

1) Sunscreen: If I'm heading out into the world, I take the time to mix a little sunscreen with my foundation. I use it to give my skin protection, and to cover up any skin imperfections I may have at the time such as heat rashes. It is hot out here in the streets!

2) Sunshades: In the image above, I am rocking my rose gold aviators. These are my go to shades for the summer! While I'm not the queen of shades, I happened to get these on my second staycation of the summer. I realized that I'd forgotten my original pair...and copped these on the road. I'm becoming a real street couture fashionista!! Final month of this life!! They are the perfect shades to wear because they provide just the right sun protection, without making you feel like you've totally filtered out all the sunshine.

3) Hat: Hats are still an ideal for those days when you don't feel like styling your hair heavily, or for those days when you feel like you want to accessorize your hair. I've been wearing my white fedora for the past year, so I'm taking the time to ensure that I get the appropriate wear ratio. Sometimes we buy things in the moment, and don't allow ourselves to maximize on accessorizing our outfits with these items.

All in all, I am finding that sun therapy is working for me. As part of my current work out routine, I take the time to sun myself for half an hour after I've had my morning post work out shake. According to The Active Times:

"When natural sunlight hits the skin it triggers the body’s production of vitamin D. Vitamin D is also known as “the sunshine vitamin.” It is a crucial ingredient for overall health; protects against inflammation, lowers high blood pressure, helps muscles, improves brain function and may even protect against cancer.

Low levels of vitamin D can cause heart disease, prostate cancer and dementia."

Taking heed of all of this...spend as much time as you can in the great outdoors! It's good for your mind, body and spirit!!

I love you for reading!!!
